Peter Brennan has nearly 25 years of healthcare philanthropy experience, joining Providence in Alaska in 1998 as the Children's Miracle Network director. In addition to his work at Providence Alaska Medical Center, Peter was also the chief philanthropy officer for Central Peninsula Health Foundation (Soldotna, Alaska) and director of philanthropy for Yavapai Regional Medical Center (Prescott, Arizona). In 2013 he returned to Providence becoming the Chief Philanthropy Officer serving Southwest Washington.

He received his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2007, recognizing his expertise and adherence to high standards and ethics in fundraising. Peter's philosophy is that the foundation's purpose is to inspire and support donors, carefully matching donors with programs they care most about. He is passionate about working together to create healthier communities and sees philanthropy as essential in expanding and enhancing local health care programs, especially those that improve access to care for our most vulnerable residents.

Peter lives in Olympia with his wife Kelsey and their two sons.

Cecily Clemons joined Providence in October 2015 as Philanthropy Officer for major giving and grants.

For more than 35 years, Cecily has dedicated her career to the advancement of nonprofit organizations, including performing arts, education, conservation, and healthcare. For more than 25 years (and nearly 15 in healthcare) she has focused her career on all facets of fundraising from leadership and management to annual fund, grants, and major gift fundraising, securing significant support to advance efforts and serving the greater good. She has found raising money for medicine and healthcare to be the most personally rewarding.

"It has been a tremendous honor and privilege not only to be a part of advancing important efforts but also to help catalyze and fulfill the philanthropic passions of others. I believe our work will have long-reaching, positive impacts for Providence's five ministries in Southwest Washington as well as for the communities we serve, advancing the mission of caring for others with dignity, compassion, and integrity."

While not working, Cecily enjoys tooling around in the garden and working on food-related projects, often focused on celiac-friendly recipes. She lives in Olympia with husband John. They have two adult sons.

A familiar face in the world of fundraising, Babette Beckham joined our team in 2019 as a Major Gift Officer. Prior to joining us she worked for Group Health Foundation in a similar capacity for over 20 years. Over the years she has expanded her knowledge of planned giving and major gifts to develop opportunities that align donor's intent with the work of the charity.

A longtime member of the South Sound Partners for Philanthropy, Babette understands the value of learning the needs of the community and the importance of partnering with other local nonprofit professionals in order to have the greatest impact.

Babette enjoys meaningful engagement, where she takes the time to listen and understand the desires of the donor. She has a heart full of compassion and a desire to partner with members of the community. She is delighted in sharing the gift of philanthropy with others so they may experience the joy that comes when one recognizes the impact their gift can have.

When not working, Babette can be found traveling, painting, bowling, or riding bikes with her grandson. She absolutely cherishes time spent with family and friends.
